Privacy policy
This policy explains what information QB Systems LLC collects through qbsystms.com, what we do with it, and how we treat client information during an engagement.
What we collect
This website has no contact form, no account system and no newsletter sign-up. We do not ask you to submit personal information in order to read it.
Two categories of information nevertheless reach us:
- Server and delivery logs. Our hosting provider records standard request data — IP address, timestamp, page requested, referring page, browser and device type — for the purposes of serving the site, diagnosing faults and protecting against abuse.
- Correspondence. If you email us, we receive whatever you send: your name, email address, the contents of your message, and any attachments.
How we use it
Log data is used to operate and secure the website. Correspondence is used to answer you, to scope and deliver work you ask us about, and to keep the records a business is expected to keep.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share it with advertisers, and we do not add anyone who writes to us to a marketing list.
Cookies and analytics
This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies and embeds no third-party social widgets. Our hosting provider may use strictly necessary infrastructure cookies to route and secure requests. If we add analytics in future, this section will be updated to name the provider and describe what it measures before it is switched on.
Sharing
We use a small number of service providers to run the business — website hosting, email, and standard back-office software. They process information on our instructions and only as needed to provide their service. We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or where it is necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.
Client data during an engagement
Engagement work is governed by the agreement signed with the client, which takes precedence over this policy for any data accessed under it. As a matter of standing practice we work under least-privilege access, keep production financial data in the client environment wherever the work allows, use masked or synthetic data in development, and revoke access and rotate credentials at close-out.
Client data is never used to train, tune or evaluate machine learning models. Our security practices describe the controls in more detail.
Retention
Server logs are retained for a limited period by our hosting provider. Correspondence is retained for as long as needed to handle the enquiry and to meet our record-keeping, tax and legal obligations. Client data held under an engagement is deleted or returned in line with that engagement’s agreement.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, or to object to how we use it. Write to us and we will respond. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising.
