You do not need a specification. You need to describe the mess. If your first email covers these four things, our reply can be a real answer instead of a request for a call.

Systems: What you run today for accounting, banking, payroll, payments and anything else in the chain.
The manual step: The export, the spreadsheet, the rekeying — whichever one costs the most hours or causes the most arguments.
Who it hurts: Finance, operations, leadership, or a client of yours waiting on a report.
Timing: Whether this is tied to an audit, a close, a migration, a deadline, or nothing in particular.
